I run my own business Stil & Ansvar (Style & Responsibility in Swedish) which is an online store that focuses on selling fashionable, ethically and sustainably produced bags. My goal is to prove that you don’t necessarily have to choose between Style or Responsibility and that you can have both, and in the same way support the people behind the products we wear and use.

Besides my company I also run the blog and youtube channel Schysst Va (schysstva.se & youtube.com/schysstva) which is a Swedish expression meaning “Nice/fair huh?”. I think the name sums up my two main topics on the blog pretty well which is green beauty and fair fashion. I started with youtube to develop my creative side and to truly challenge myself. I’m really quite shy but this makes a good exercise to practice my English, develop editing skills and connect with likeminded people. I also loooove watching other youtubers and thought I would give it a try!

My parents worked with human rights for 15 years in Paraguay and caring for the people and environment around me came naturally growing up. But I would say I turned green “for real” four years ago in 2013 when I started to work for a Fair Trade company in Gothenburg. That’s also around when I started my blog and started to be more conscious for what I put on my skin and what I spent my money on.

I love how makeup makes me feel! When I was a teenager I used makeup to cover up my acne and because I felt I “needed it”. But with the years I just developed this love for how makeup made me feel. Nowadays I can go bare faced and let all my imperfections show and I’m okay with that, but there’s just something so magical when you put on a bright lipstick, or when your base is so flawless that its undetectable.

My five top products at the moment are Rms Beauty Un-cover up in 22, Tata Harper Contour, Zuii Organic Brow Pencil, The Lip Archive in LBD & Red and the RMS tinted un Powder in 0-1. The Un-cover up from RMS doubles up as both foundation and concealer and the shade no 22 is a perfect match for me. I always need to contour and the Tata Harper Contour cream is my all time favorite and creates the most natural contour. The Beauty Archive lip tint in LBD & Red is just the perfect multitasking product out there, it’s so hydrating and if you tap it in to your lips it acts as both a stain and lip balm, but you can also build it up and create a really pigmented red lip. Oh, and it works perfect as a blush as well. It’s brilliant! The Zuii Eyebrow Definer is the best brow pencil on the market (in my opinion) and I would literally cry if they discontinued it. This product really creates brows-on-fleek kind of brows. Who can say no to that? Last but not least we have the RMS Beauty Tinted Un Powder which is my all time favorite powder out there. It keeps me matte but doesn’t look cakey or heavy. All these products are basically my essentials and helps me create my typical NML, no makeup look.

I can’t live without my concealer! I need it to even out my skin and cover any imperfections. It goes where I go. I love makeup but I also love the look of “not wearing any makeup”, hence the no makeup-makeup look. I would say that is my signature look. Flawless complexion, brows and a YLBB (your lips but better)-lipstick on the lips.

When I go out I love to intensify my contour (I need the extra help because I wasn’t blessed with them cheek bones…) and put on a bright lip. I also make sure to prep my skin before makeup application, mask, serum, the whole shebang. I also put on a primer, like the Inika Pure Primer to make my makeup last longer and take a step extra to really make sure my complexion is f l a w l e s s. My going out fragrance is the Eve & Daphnée perfume in Tentation 1 Contre Lui, but I recently invested in the Mitchell & Peach fragrances in English Leaf & Flora no1 and can’t wait to start using them – I literally just got them in my mail

When going out I tend to gravitate toward good food rather than a place to dance – even tho dancing is fun. But you know, food makes me happy. So my favorite food restaurant in Gothenburg is called Silvis and they serve Lebanese food that is divine! It’s definitely a place you visit for the food. Definitely check it out if you’re in town! And ALWAYS take off your makeup before bed, or as soon as you come home really.

My favorite green beauty store is in Stockholm and it’s called Alice & White. It’s an online store but they have a showroom in Stockholm and stock so many beautiful brands.

Here’s my personal skincare advice: What you put into your body will show on your skin. So be mindful of what you eat. I’m not perfect at all but I like the 80/20 rule, eat 80% healthy and you know… 20% yolo-food. Drink lots of water (lemon water if you will) and wear your SPF!
