The ILIA Beauty Satin Cream Lip Crayons
“Swatches and a walking Ouevre.”
There’s a certain shade of lipstick out there I am constantly being asked about, not least because in 11 out of 10 cases it’s the exact color I wear: 99 Red Balloons by ILIA Beauty. That I am even able to mention it now is all thanks to the fact that it mercifully survived the relaunch of the ILIA Lipstick Crayons and is now available under the guise of ILIA Satin Cream Lip Crayon.
So irritated was I by news of this product range restructuring, it was mere seconds before I opened up new tab and asked myself whether online shopping carts can handle quantities of 290 or more. (That’s a simple calculation. I need about 2-3 a year and, thanks to future technologies, I won’t look a day over 40 at age 90. Or age 130, for that matter.)
Apply by dabbing lightly on the lips. This helps the semi-matte finish to appear even matter, and leaves behind more of an idea of lipstick – a natural lip tint. Not drying at all, and able survive at least three avocado toasts. When I first applied it years ago, I suddenly had the feeling of an artist standing before his completed oeuvre. The color provides just the right contrast to the rest of the face, bringing everything together somehow.
To capture this particular shade of my walking artwork for the archives, I staged 99 Red Balloons alongside five of its best friends. Above, you can find swatches for all the new ILIA Beauty Satin Cream Lip Crayons; demonstrated by the stunning Sophia, who arrived at this shoot via the 43rd Dimension.
